Connie Cirkony is a lecturer in Science Education at the University of Tasmania. She is an experienced educator with expertise in science, STEM, and sustainability education as well as evidence-informed policy and practice. Her initial career as a biologist has morphed into rich cross-sector experience in education, including a science teacher in primary and secondary schools, a teacher educator in a science museum, a policy officer in the department of education, and an academic at universities in both Canada and Australia. In these roles, Connie has worked to positively influence students’ learning experiences through improved teaching and policy.
