Amara completed her Masters of Environment and Resource Economics at the Australian National University and has been working as a fisheries economist within the Australian Federal Government for the last several years. Amara's PhD will investigate place-based risk and perceptions of the trade-offs relating to climate, the environment and perceived impacts related to the Blue Economy. Using both qualitative and quantitate methodology Amara's PhD will also seek to better understand how demographic factors such as gender may/may not play a role in decision-making outcomes related to the Blue Economy.
