I am a conservation social scientist. My research explores how to foster conservation stewardship actions across diverse communities. Central to my research is the recognition that conservation takes place within a social context. As such, it is imperative to understand perceptions and experiences of individuals within these contexts, and use this understanding to inform engagement approaches that will deliver positive outcomes for both people and nature. My research is informed by experience across two fields (i) human wellbeing and (ii) environmental engagement, and draws on diverse disciplines, including psychology, behavioural science, communications.
