Connie Cirkony is a senior lecturer in the initial teacher education program at Monash University and an adjunct senior researcher at UTAS. She is an experienced educator with expertise in science, STEM, and sustainability education as well as evidence-informed policy and practice and her current role is to prepare future science teachers. Her initial career as a biologist continues to inform her cross-sectors experience in the education sector – from schools, science centre, government and universities.. Her university research explores how First Nations knowledge systems can inform how we can teach and practice science in ways that support an equitable and sustainable future for all. She is one of the climate experts for Curious Climate Schools.
