Dr. Glenn Finau is an Indigenous Fijian academic and a Senior Lecturer in Accounting at the Tasmanian School of Business and Economics at the University of Tasmania. He completed his PhD at UNSW, focusing on "Accounting, Indigenous Land, and Customary Land: Case Studies from the Pacific." His research integrates sociology and Indigenous theories, examining how calculative practices like accounting impact Indigenous people and their resources. He is also a Pacific Ocean Accounts Fellow with the Global Ocean Accounts Partnership, where he aims to enhance support for the Pacific region in adopting ocean accounting frameworks for better management of marine spaces and resources.
