Kate has just completed her PhD exploring the effects of climate change on critically endangered school sharks and their estuarine nursery habitat. Since finishing her studies, she has assisted with variety of other collaborative projects including working on updates for the national harvest strategy guidelines, conducting experiments looking at the effects of toxic algae on shellfish, researching potential future aquaculture endeavours with the Blue Economy CRC, and investigating how artificial intelligence could be used for literature reviews. Kate is eager to continue working in an interdisciplinary environment and is looking forward to collaborations with other CMS researchers to help understand, manage, and improve our marine environment.
