Scott Condie has more than 25 years experience in modelling physical and ecological aspects of marine and coastal ecosystems. He has particular expertise in agent-based modelling to support management and scenario exploration. He was the principal developer of the decision support tool CONNIE (CONNectivity InterfacE) now used internationally; and the CoCoNet (Coral and CoTS Network) model that is central in the development of novel intervention strategies to protect the Great Barrier Reef under climate change. His research has been applied extensively in fields such as coastal management, aquaculture, and conservation management.
