Bio

Olivia is a marine and Antarctic scientist with expertise in biodiversity conservation, ecological resilience, and threatened species assessments. With experience spanning tropical coral reefs to the Southern Ocean, including work as a krill biologist on multiple Antarctic voyages, Olivia specialises in ecosystem monitoring and threatened species conservation. Her research integrates advanced data analysis, ecological modelling, and long-term monitoring to inform species conservation priorities and planning. Olivia’s research interests lie at the intersection of marine conservation, ecological resilience, and adaptive management. She is particularly focused on understanding ecosystem function, species distributions, and the impacts of environmental change on marine biodiversity. Passionate about science communication and stakeholder engagement, Olivia recognises the importance of translating research into actionable policies and fostering collaboration between scientists, policymakers, and local communities to drive effective conservation outcomes.
