Paris is a marine social scientist with a focus on communications, environmental policy and knowledge translation. Paris' PhD project explores knowledge co-production for marine governance. Specifically, Paris is exploring the processes that can foster the equitable and effective co-production of knowledge. Throughout her research more broadly, Paris has a particular interest in exploring the translation of knowledge into action for the governance of ocean and coastal spaces. Prior to this, Paris completed her honours thesis at ANU exploring public perceptions of the Ningaloo Marine Park in Western Australia, and completed a double undergraduate degree at ANU with a focus on marine science and environmental policy. She has also spent several years working in communications, including at Questacon where she worked in a variety of areas ranging from science communications to strategic corporate communications.
