Bio

Rani is a fishery scientist focusing on human behaviour including gender issues. She finished her Bachelor in Science in Fisheries from Brawijaya University in Indonesia, she also completed her MSc degree from The University of Queensland majoring in Natural Resources Management.

She has over two decades of experience in fisheries in Indonesia, having vast network in Indonesia fishery which includes government, NGOs and academia.

She is currently undertaking her PhD at IMAS UTas and CSIRO looking at human behaviour in fishery including gender role in small-scale fishery with the objectives of better fisheries management.
