2020 Annual Report

In this report we are pleased to showcase a selection of our research and activities from 2020. On the surface, it may look like any other successful year, but we want to acknowledge that 2020 was a year not like any other; the circumstances of 2020 created a lot of stress for our staff, and particular, our students.
Wholehearted thanks to all our students, researchers, collaborators and stakeholders, for their ongoing efforts in the Centre of Marine Socioecology during this exceptionally challenging year.

2017 Annual Report

The CMS was officially opened in November 2014 with joint funding from CSIRO and the University of Tasmania to appoint three research fellows and four PhD students. The success of the Centre has seen it rapidly expand beyond this initial group of young researchers, with 20 PhD students, 6 research fellows and over 40 researchers now associated with the Centre.

This multi-disciplinary group has come together in true inter- and transdisciplinary ways to support the Centre’s vision and mission.
