Relaunch of Marine Social Sciences Network, Australia Chapter

Event Date: 27 May, 2022

The Australian Chapter of the Marine Social Sciences Network (MarSocSciAus) is back with a new committee, new networking platform and an exciting winter showcase! We extend an invitation to our first webinar showcase of 2022 on the 27th May (1pm AEST). We will provide an overview of the Chapter and its role within the marine social science community during the webinar, and host short talks by CMS member Dr Ingrid van Putten and Dr Matthew Navarro. The event is free, but please register at the Eventbrite link: https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/marsocsci-australia-winter-showcase-registration-314000894127.

The Chapter also invites you to join our brand new networking platform via LinkedIn, which will replace the google mailing list as our primary form of communication moving forward.

By moving to LinkedIn, the Chapter can better facilitate:

  1. A networking platform for increasing opportunities and collaboration.
  2. Knowledge sharing through curated content.
  3. An opportunity to connect into the global Marine Social Sciences Network.

We hope you’ll bring your marine social science conversations to this new platform. Navigate to the MarSocSciAus LinkedIn page by clicking on the provided link and request to join. https://www.linkedin.com/groups/14068187/

We look forward to your involvement in the Chapter through the LinkedIn page and at upcoming events.

Please feel free to circulate this news to your networks.

Kind Regards,

Carla Sbrocchi, on behalf of the MarSocSciAus convening committee
